How to Link Your Blog and Photo Album Together

Blogs are good for keeping a diary that you update regularly. Photo albums are great for storing your photos, organizing them into albums by subject, and creating slideshows. You can bring your blog and Photo Album together by including Photo Albums in your blog post, or linking to your albums from your blog.

Including Albums in your Blog Posts

To include a Photo Album in your blog post, you'll first need to make sure you have an Angelfire blog and Angelfire Photo Album.

Step 1:
Select the Blog Manager option from the menu on the right. This will take you to the Blog Manager screen. From there, make sure the blog you want to work on is selected and click the Create A New Entry icon. Now you're ready to start creating your new, photo-album-included blog entry!

Step 2:
Enter a title for your blog entry, such as My Photo Album. If you wish, type a blog entry introducing your album into the Entry field.

Step 3:
Click the Photo Album Icon (the one that looks like a tiny portrait of a man) to add a photo album to your entry. This will open a dialogue box. From here, you'll be able to pick the album you want to include and decide how to display it.

Step 4:
Choose a Photo Album from the pull-down menu. Then choose to display your link as either Text with Icon (this will include the photo album icon and your Photo Album title), One Thumbnail (this will show one thumbnail from your album, along with the title and an icon) or All Thumbnails (this option displays thumbnails for every image in your album, plus the title and an icon). Click Insert.

Step 5:
The window will close, and you'll see some code in the Entry field. You can add more text to your entry now if you wish. When you're ready, click Post to publish your blog entry.

You're all done! Take a look at your blog to see how great your album looks.
